Gas Monitoring for Semiconductor Fabs

Semiconductor manufacturing involves a wide range of hazardous process gases. Even small leaks can pose a risk to personnel, equipment and production processes. Reliable gas detection is therefore essential throughout many areas of the fab and subfab.

The D-ReX Gas Monitoring System has been developed specifically for demanding gas detection applications. The product family offers different configurations for point-of-use, remote and extractive gas monitoring and supports the detection of a wide range of semiconductor process gases, including HF, HCl, Cl₂, NH₃, PH₃, AsH₃, B₂H₆ and SiH₄.

For gases that require conversion before detection, the Py-ReX pyrolyzer complements the system and extends the range of monitoring applications.

From Process Gas Detection to System Integration

Gas monitoring requirements vary depending on the process, target gas and monitoring point. With different D-ReX configurations, GfG provides solutions for applications ranging from individual monitoring points to integration into comprehensive gas monitoring systems.

In addition to reliable detection, the system has been designed with serviceability, system integration and lifecycle costs in mind. Interfaces including Modbus RTU/TCP, 4–20 mA and Power over Ethernet facilitate integration into different system environments.

GfG also supports retrofit and migration projects, providing options for modernizing existing gas monitoring installations.
