GfG GMA200-F

Controller for Gas Detection in Refrigeration Systems and Heat Pumps

Refrigeration systems and heat pumps are widely used in industrial and commercial applications. Depending on the refrigerant used, even small leaks can pose a safety risk to people, equipment and the environment. The GMA200-F is a controller for fixed gas detection systems specifically developed for monitoring natural and synthetic refrigerants. A single GMA200-F controller can monitor up to 64 digital GfG transmitters and individually control up to four ventilation zones. This makes the system ideal for the safe and energy-efficient operation of refrigeration systems, cold stores and heat pumps.

Gas Monitoring and Ventilation Control for Refrigeration Systems

The GMA200-F controller monitors up to 64 digital GfG transmitters (including up to 16 analog measuring points) for the detection of natural and synthetic refrigerants. Depending on the application, different GfG transmitters, for example for ammonia, carbon dioxide, propane or fluorinated refrigerants, can be combined within a single system.

The free configuration of measuring ranges and alarm thresholds allows the system to be optimally adapted to different refrigerants, system designs and national regulations. By additionally controlling ventilation systems in up to four independent zones, ventilation can be regulated according to demand. This enhances safety while simultaneously reducing energy consumption.

Flexible Configuration and Control of Safety Functions

The GMA200-F provides three freely configurable alarm levels per measuring point, enabling a fast and targeted response to refrigerant leaks. The backlit LC display and 20 status LEDs continuously indicate operating conditions, alarms, faults, as well as the status of relays and ventilation zones. With the optional GMA-Config software, the complete gas detection system can be conveniently configured and adapted to the specific requirements of the installation.

Safety functions can be implemented via the eight integrated relays, six of which are freely programmable. For larger installations, the GMA200-F can be expanded with up to four GMA200-RT relay modules, providing a total of up to 64 additional relay contacts. Alternatively or additionally, up to 64 digital alarm panels with audible alarms can be integrated. This allows the gas detection system to be flexibly adapted to a wide range of safety concepts and plant configurations.
