At the end of 2020, a year overshadowed by Corona, GfG received some positive news. With the World of Safety & Health Asia Award 2020, the company received a significant award in the field of occupational safety for its TeamLink. GfG appreciates the fact that our company was awarded this prize among the technologically trend-setting and innovation-driving Asian market and sees it as proof of the innovative strength of Dortmund.

The WSHAsia Award is awarded annually and only products that are new to the market are considered for entry. GfG's TeamLink, which we developed last year, is now one of the first winners ever.

The international jury is made up of five renowned safety experts from a wide range of sectors and industries. Their in-depth specialist knowledge and decades of professional experience ensure that the practical capabilities of the products are evaluated justly when choosing a winner.

The TeamLink is a small, portable wireless device which monitors the readings, connection status and alarm status of up to 10 G888 and G999 series portable gas detectors in real time. This facilitates safeguarding of single workers as well as  teams, even when they are out of sight. This will provide the team leader or supervisor with all important information on each team member in an area of up to 1.5 square kilometers. In an emergency, when every second counts, safety measures can be initiated quickly and efficiently.

Jury member Victor Kwong, General Manager of Corporate Sustainability at Towngas, the company that supplies natural gas to the whole of Hong Kong, can look back on more than 35 years of experience in the fields of environmental protection and occupational safety. His assessment of the TeamLink was based on the scope and clarity of the information available via remote monitoring, from measured values to man-down alarms. The TeamLink's design, which has already been decorated with several awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award or the iF Product Design Award, has thus now received the highest recognition in Asia as well.
