CC28 Transmitter

The CC28 uses catalytic combustion (CC) to detect combustible gases and vapours such as methane, propane and hydrogen. The long-life sensors make the CC28 an economical solution for detecting a wide range of combustible gases in the measurement ranges of 0 to 100% LEL and 0 to 4% by volume (NH₃). Its automatic temperature compensation and the linearization of the measurement signals ensure high measurement accuracy.

Explosion protection, functional safety and device protection
The CC28 has ATEX certification for use in Ex Zone 1, and its hardware complies with the European Functional Safety Standard DIN EN 61508-2: 2011 (SIL). The housing is protected against ingress of dust and water (protection class: IP64). An optional weatherproof housing provides additional protection.

Communication and service
Signals are transmitted via the analog industry standard (4-20 mA). The CC28 uses two status LEDs to indicate its operating status. Service and adjustments are carried out on site using the optional RC2 remote control (one-man adjustment). The pre-adjusted sensors can be easily replaced thanks to Smart Sensor technology. Test gases for function tests can be inserted using a flow adapter.
