G400-MP2
Smart pump for Microtector II G450 and G460
Confined spaces present dangers due to toxic and flammable gases as well as oxygen deficiency. This is why they must be analyzed before entering. Remote monitoring by pump is also essential for any work being done in a tunnel ir shaft. We developed the smart pump G400-MP2, which adds a pump function to our II G450 and G460 portable gas detectors, specifically for this purpose.
The G400-MP2 pump can be attached to a G450 or G460 gas detector. As soon as the pump is switched on, the diffusion openings of the gas detection device are covered to ensure that the measurement results are not influenced by the ambient air. Thanks to the pump's smart communication with the gas detector, any disruptions or errors in the pump are also indicated on the gas detector's display. The pump's own power supply ensures that the gas detector's battery life is not shortened by the operation of the pump.
Equipment and technique
Thanks to its high performance even in negative pressure environments, the G400-MP2 can be used to clear confined spaces such as ducts, cellars and tanks from a safe distance before and while they are entered by people with portable gas detection devices. The flow rate is up to 0.5 liters per minute. With an alkaline battery, the pump can continuously be operated for up to ten hours. With a NiMH battery even up to 12 hours of operating time are possible. Like the G450 and G460 gas detection devices, both the battery and the rechargeable battery have been approved for use in Ex zone 1.
